La campagne principale permet au joueur d'incarner Point Man alors que le mode coopératif permettra au second joueur d'incarner Paxton Fettel. L'univers survival-horror de la série est bel et bien préservé et les scènes d'action du jeu sont rythmées par les caractéristiques propres de chaque personnage, comme le pouvoir de téléportation de Paxton Fettel, ou la vitesse surhumaine de Point Man.
