Hello, you collectors! Today, here's a... special dump.
We heard that Nintendo recently re-edited the cartridge of
New Super Mario Bros (EUR KiOSK DEMO), for the DSi XL kiosks.
So we hunted it and expected to find a rev1 of the cartridge
with a serial like NTR-A85P-EUR-1. But finally, sticker's serial
and the back printed one were "NTR-Y78P-EUR"!!
We dumped it, and the internal serial is "A85P", like the
previous demo dumped ages ago... After checking, we confirmed that
our dump is 99% matching to the previous rom, all files are same.
The only difference is located into the rom header, where Nintendo
now included these new particular datas, dumped fine with the latest
Wood dumper. These datas seem to affect directly the boot method of
the cartridge: When you insert the original cart into a DSi and power
it on, console menus are skipped and the demo boots directly.
Maybe a way to prevent browsing menus in the kiosk consoles?
Let's wait and see if the future demos will be same...
