Le développeur SubJunk propose une nouvelle version d'UMS, Universal Media Server, qui est désormais passée en v8.0.0 dans sa version stable après une longue période en Bêta puis en Realease Candidate.
Universal Media Server, connu aussi sous son nom court UMS, est un serveur multimédia DLNA qui permet de profiter de vos fichiers sur n'importe quel appareil de la maison, câblé en réseau. L'application est compatible avec la FreeBox HD, la PS3, Google Android, XBMC Media Server, les télévisions connectées Samsung, et la XboX 360 mais aussi avec les appareils DNLA comme la PS4 ou la Xbox One.
Cette version 8.0.0 n'est encore pas complètement libérée, elle a juste été postée sur le github du développeur, mais depuis plus d'un mois nous attendions cela.
